Taipei East District Late-Night Food Guide

Taipei's East and Da'an Districts (the stretch from Zhongxiao Fuxing to Zhongxiao Dunhua and on toward Da'an Station) have one of the highest densities of late-night food in the city, so you won't struggle to find something to eat after hours. We went through the reviews and pulled together a few genuinely well-rated late-night spots — and threw our own Hotdogray into the mix too.

Jing Xing Cantonese Dim Sum | 24-hour institution

Right on Dunhua S. Rd, just steps from Exit 10 of the East District Underground Mall, this is a long-running Cantonese spot that dim sum regulars all know. Open 24 hours, so a late-night craving is never a problem. The sān xiān stir-fried rice noodles and spring rolls are must-orders, and with a wide range of dim sum, it's one of the few places in the area where you don't need to plan around opening hours.

E Quan Shi Tang | late-night den on Zhongxiao E. Rd

Tucked into the lanes off Lane 216, Zhongxiao E. Rd, this spot serves up over a hundred dishes and drinks every night until the early hours — the kind of place that gets livelier as the night goes on. Great pick if you like to drink, eat, and chat slowly.

Aplus Dining Sake Bar | Dunhua S. Rd, 4.4 on Google

Located at No. 16, Lane 236, Section 1, Dunhua S. Rd, this bar pairs borderless Japanese dishes with its own house sake, holding a steady 4.4 on Google. A solid pick if you want a drink alongside better food.

Zeng's Soy Milk | open from evening to 1AM, 4.3 stars on 2,000+ reviews

Open from 4PM straight through to 1AM, this spot holds a strong 4.3 stars across over two thousand Google reviews. Great for something light and non-greasy late at night — think shaobing, youtiao, and soy milk.

Hotdogray: the late-night pick for office workers, bar-goers, and drivers

Hotdogray is inside AI DARTS on Renai Rd. Sec. 4 in Da'an District, serving until late. Besides restaurants and bars, the area also has plenty of business centers and bars nearby, so there's steady foot traffic well into the night.

What's interesting is that, thanks to the location, quite a few off-duty drivers stop by between rides just to grab a hot dog — no need to sit down, grab it and go, a chili dog is just enough to settle the stomach. It's a habit that's built up a loyal group of regulars over the years. If you're also out late and just need something quick, this is worth a stop.

Whether you want to throw some darts while you eat, or just want a late-night hot dog with our signature chili, come on by. See the full menu here.
